Product update — September 24, 2026
This release is about working through changes as a team. Pull a teammate into a note with an @mention, keep track of your mentions from a new inbox, and move notifications between review states on a new board. Webhooks also get a new payload format, with each endpoint choosing what it receives.
New
@mentions in notes
Type @ in a note and ChangeTower suggests teammates from your workspace. Whoever you mention gets an email and an item in their inbox, so the right person sees the change without a separate message.
Both are on by default. Anyone can switch them off under Notification preferences → Mentions.
An inbox for your mentions
A bell in the header shows the mentions you have not read yet, so nothing addressed to you gets lost in the notification list. It is there for every user.
Notification board
See your notifications as a board, with a lane for each review state. Drag a notification from one lane to the next to move it along, and the board updates live as teammates do the same.

More deliberate review state changes
Moving a notification to a new state now opens a short confirmation, such as “Move to Reviewed?”, where you can add an optional note and @mention a teammate in it.
Notifications can also go back to Uncategorized, and every member of a workspace can now see its states.
Webhooks you can tailor per endpoint
Each endpoint now chooses which events it receives, and you can switch its payload version from the dashboard. There is also a new event, notification state changed, which fires whenever someone moves a notification to a different state.
A new payload version, 2026-09-09, wraps every body in an envelope with the event’s id, type and timestamp. New endpoints start on it. Existing endpoints stay on their current version, so nothing breaks, and their bodies now also include monitor and state fields.
Review states in your AI assistant
AI assistants connected to ChangeTower can now list your review states and filter notifications by state, so you can ask for everything still marked Important.
